Nowhere To Run For Beat Down JoCo Women

Tragic story about a dearth of resources and increasing violence for ladies in this formerly idyllic enclave that's not home to more social ills and fewer options for victims. Take a look:

As Domestic Violence Rises In Johnson County, Its Only Shelter Hustles To Meet Demand

Domestic violence in Kansas is on the rise. According to the Kansas Bureau of Investigations, homicides related to domestic violence doubled in Kansas in 2017 (the most recent year for which statistics are available). Johnson County saw a 20-year high in cases that had deadly outcomes in 2017, yet the largest county in the state has just one domestic violence shelter.

  1. What hurts domestic violence is all the fake claims. Friend of the families ole lady pulled that crap hung in there with her story for about a month then when she was no longer getting all the attention while having drinks with the ladies she had one to many and confessed to what she did. You know what the fucking cops did nothing. The so called shelter home who took her in did nothing. Meanwhile this guy has cops showing up where he works and guess what the rumor mill catches wind of why they were there now all the women he works with hate his guts and he is looking for another job I hear.

  3. So I’m betting the majority of the wife beaters are foreigners, it’s common in other countries to beat their wives. This is perfect for Johnson county and their diverse and progressive ways. Remember Johnson county, you wanted this.

  4. The Lautenberg amendment states any domestic abuse perp, found guilty OR pleading to a diversion HAS A LIFELONG GUN AND AMMO BAN. And its retro-active back to the age the perp was 18. Only a Presidential Pardon can restore their gun ownership rights. So a man that beat his wife in 1965 cant own a gun or ammo. BUT OUR POLICE DO NOT ENFORCE THIS AT ALL - TO THEIR PERIL - AS THEY HAVE BEEN SHOT DEAD BY PERPS DISOBEYING THIS LAW

  5. It’s just like other rising crime, free school lunches and section 8 housing, the dynamic of JoCo is changing because of the type of people moving here from Mo and WyCo. A lot of poor people have poor ways and they bring their lifestyle with them.

  7. The victims can stay at Funkhouser's house for wayward women.

  8. The domestic violence problem is exacerbated by the women going back to their abusers and "forgiving all" until the NEXT time. It's sad because they can't get out of the spiral. With multiple kids and no job skills, they condemn themselves to a life without hope. Maybe a different approach to the problem is needed. Anyone?
