KCPD WARNS: ONGOING JACKSON COUNTY JAIL CRISIS ENDANGERS KANSAS CITY CRIME VICTIMS!!!

Here's the money line from today's City Hall discussion that offers a scary perspective on the future as locals wait for the Frank White Administration to start moving on a new jail . . .

Police told the committee Wednesday they're not sure they can keep the city safe with so few beds.

"What do we do with people on a day to day basis?" Maj. Doug Niemeier of the KCPD asked. "We've had 100 beds to this point. We're going to get 25. So when citizens call and say, 'I have this issue." We only have 25 beds. We have nowhere to put someone. So are we going to signature bond the person who assaulted you and say, 'I’m sorry ma’am, sir, I know you got assaulted. We’re going to write a ticket.' We’re going to release them and they’re on the street.'"

Just when you thought the city and county couldn’t fuck shit up any worse and now this, can things get any worse for us? With these idiots in charge you betcha.

That is a risk that law abiding citizens are willing to take.

We need to build very large capacity jails and prisons. We need somewhere to keep all the hood rats who unfortunately don’t get killed.

Hmmmmm....is it not too late for the heavy constructors to renovate the spare terminal at KCI to be a satellite jail? Or, toss up some barracks on the former Honeywell site on Bannister near Troost. Both are closer than Johnson County, or, east of Lone Jack.

The city and police department is ran by mental midgets. This has been a problem for awhile that finally boiled over. They are too top heavy. Too many commanders making over 100k a year with take home cars is the problem.

Thought Forte was going to fix this.... guess not

Yep, there’s real logic behind your assessment. Quite a problem-solver.
