Whilst pedantic middle-aged locals attempt to give graduates bad advice . . . Most young people already have a good idea of what they want to do. Here's a peek at a wild Summer ahead:

Police: 4 kids steal car to go hill jumping in KCK

KANSAS CITY, KS (KCTV) - Police in Kansas City, Kansas, said four kids were injured after a one vehicle crash Wednesday afternoon. Chief Terry Zeigler with the Kansas City Kansas Police Department posted a tweet just before 1:30 p.m. stating that the four victims, all 16 years old or younger, were involved in a single vehicle crash at 88th and Metropolitan.

And now they can all be classed as adults and charged with multiple felonies. Great way to start life. Slap their ass in jail til they're 21 and they'll grow up real fast and come out with larger rectal orifices.

That hood is semi-rural and many decent long-term residents. There are some narrow roads, and low to steep hills in that area. Swartz and Osage run parallel to Metropolitan and those two roads have all that and some tighter curves south of 82nd Street. At certain spots, if a couple of full-size pickups are passing, one would have to ease into some of the residential or field driveways where the bushy overgrowth conceals drops or soft shoulders. Locals know the traps, and frequent visitors, like me, have them charted to memory. At night, especially, driving can be risky due to blocks where the streetlights are spaced far apart.

South of Kansas Avenue and west from 82nd Street to 435--burb and farm sections merged--a quaintly quiet area.
