Kansas Republicans Override Guv Kelly Abortion Doctor Talking Point Veto

Conservatives in the Sunflower State are pushing for scripted patient conversation requirements. Meanwhile, the newbie moderate Democratic Party leader has allowed herself to get dragged into a losing culture war debate in defense of abortion doctors -- The only people that voters from every demographic dislike more than politicians.

Kansas Senate overrides Kelly's abortion 'reversal' veto

TOPEKA, Kan. (AP) - The Kansas Senate has overridden Democratic Gov. Laura Kelly's veto of a bill requiring abortion providers to tell patients about a disputed treatment to stop a medication abortion after it's been started. The vote Wednesday was 27-13, just the two-thirds majority needed.
