Kansas City Sunday Night Postscript

Just a few things to consider for our beloved late night lurkers or early morning insomniacs . . .

- Tonight Mayor Sly sang a stunning rendition of "Amazing Grace" at the Celebration of The Station 2019. It might be the swan song for his administration given the uptick in local murders.

- As the June vote moves closer, it's special interests and not candidates who are making this silly season more exciting.

- There is a proxy war for power in KCMO. Tomorrow morning, we hope to explain a bit more about the parties competing for control along with even bigger conflicts on the horizon.

Until then, thanks for reading on Sunday. Hopefully, we'll have more for the morning update . . . STAY TUNED!!

  1. May not agree with Sly on everything but he did a nice job tonight. It was wonderful seeing a mayor show their support for the troops. Would Jolie Justus or Quinton Lucas do the same?

  2. We'd all prefer "Old Man River" but Sly gets the point across.

  5. Here’s the deal. We have a homosexual who prides herself on her wife for votes. Another black man who is a slave to corporate interests for kickbacks. It’s basically a sly James type of mayorship. Oh, hey don’t forget about Jermaine. That’s the brotha who swears by MLK and his rapes to rename Paseo. Yo, someone get a brotha to get the ribbon cutting ceremony for Jermaine. That brotha sleeps on tax revenue. Throw it all into the third district while the third district kills itself.....literally.

  6. ^^^ he spends it all on 18th and vine and the central core, the real eastside he hates because there’s white peoples out there.
