    1. Some people reading this blog can afford TWO houses like that. But this is still the land of opportunity, not socialism. You have to work for it.

    2. Says the person who was given his job by a rich uncle. I disagree with socialism but nepotism is a form of socialism, too.

  9. Wow! Would be fun to have the Rockefeller riches, the Kennedy cash, the Buffet billions, etc., but, minus the more serious problems those clans have known. And, ^11:50, not everyone has worked for it. Living beyond the level of Hallbrook high-rolling and Loch Lloyd luxury, with enough excess funds given for scholarships to specialty crafts and artisans training, to promote those skills is, oh well, one can dream. Billionaires paying-off student loans at college is great. But, college is not for everyone. Guinness and other heirs in Eire get that. Castles, churches, and such, in need of restorations are benefited by formations of future craftspersons.

  12. Cray Occasional-Cortex says, "Go green, even though it's the End of the World ten years !5/23/19, 12:16 PM

Occasional Cortex and the Greed New Deal goofs don't want large and lavish homes. All the evil excesses of luxurious living spaces horribly pollutes and destroys this planet, they contend. They say too many materials, fuels, and re-directed resources are expended on these showy abodes. Too bad if major commerce is lost, the sizeable labor earnings are eliminated, large taxes aren't paid, and freedom of choice is removed. AOC advises: "Well, I, I, mean, like, if you are going to, um, like, be a good little komrade, then you will, like, be happy to just have a simple, um, apartment that has a garbage disposal thingy."
