Food for Fines lets customers pay off library fines through non-perishable food

KANSAS CITY, MO (KCTV) -- Mid-Continent Library cardholders with overdue fines can clear their debts by making a difference. The library's "Food for Fines" program is back and aims to stock the shelves of local non-profits to help those in need. All 31 of Mid-Continent Library locations are participating, and each one is donating to some place different.

Fishtech Group opens Cyber Security Center - Kansas City Business Journal

Kansas City cybersecurity solutions provider Fishtech Group recently held a grand opening for its Cyber Defense Center. The $10 million facility is designed to be attractive to cybersecurity-conscious customers, as well as high-demand tech workers. Fishtech CEO Gary Fish built the facility for CYDERES, a security-as-a-service division of Fishtech Group.

George Strait to perform in rare Kansas City concert appearance

KANSAS CITY, MO (KCTV) -- Country music icon George Strait is coming to Kansas City in a rare concert appearance. The Country Music Hall of Famer returns to the Sprint Center for a "Strait to the Heartland" show on Jan. 25, 2020. Joining him will be special guest Asleep at the Wheel.

Tigers walk-off Royals, 5-2

The Tigers walked off on the Royals, 5-2, on a three-run home run in the 10th inning. They came within a fingernail of their first road series victory of the year. It didn't happen. Overall, it was a pretty uneventful game.

I was in on the Hamilton presale. Face value on lower levels seats is $435 per ticket. way too much for a white guilt musical in my book
