KANSAS CITY FLOODING CRISIS: NORTHLAND ALSO CONFRONTS DELUGE!!!



Wanted to share this link so that KCMO residents can realize just a bit of unity amid worsening local flooding, busted pipes and faulty infrastructure. The crisis isn't just an urban core, Plaza or Midtown problem but an issue that's pervasive throughout city limits.

Fox4: Northland neighbors tired of failing drain system, flooding and no help from city

Deets:

"Neighbors said they're not just worried about their own homes, but the general safety of the community. "The manhole covers will fly 3-5 feet in the air," a resident said. The intersection at N.W. 76th Terrace and N.W. Milrey Drive is a school bus stop, and another resident worries flash floods will happen during school hours. 

Residents called 311 Tuesday morning and said they were told to submit the problem online."

  1. So sorry folks. Sucks to be you. In the meantime you might want to attend the cities public hearing on giving tifs and super tifs for a downtown uber luxury hotel. After all, this is your tax dollars at work. Feel better now?

  3. I mean, we have a decrepit sewer system across the metro and schools that no mindful parent would ever subject their child to, but let's keep pushing for another $300 million for streetcar extentions and bike lanes
