Kansas City, Mo., May 1, 2019 Established in 1985 as a neighborhood festival, the Brookside Art Annual continues to draw artists and guests from across the nation. In partnership with ER of Brookside – part of Research Medical Center and HCA Midwest Health – Brookside Art Annual will again offer a weekend of family-friendly fun, talented artists and local cuisine.

Brookside Art Annual takes place rain or shine, this Friday through Sunday, May 3 – 5 at 63rd
Street and Brookside Boulevard in Kansas City, MO.

ER of Brookside is proud to be the presenting sponsor of Brookside’s largest event for the fourth consecutive year and is offering even more activities for visitors this year. As part of the Brookside community, ER of Brookside and Research Medical Center Brookside Campus, located at Holmes Road and Rockhill Road, provides many health care services including emergency room, orthopedic care, OB/GYN services, and more. “Our continued sponsorship of the Brookside Art Annual represents ER of Brookside and Research Medical Center’s ongoing dedication to family, the arts, and meaningful community interaction,” said Rob Schlicht, Assistant Chief Operating Officer at Research Medical Center.

By supporting fun for children and families, ER of Brookside, in partnership with supporting sponsor Cosentino’s Price Chopper, is expanding the kids’ tent at the Brookside Art Annual to include more activities.

There will be a Teddy Bear Clinic on Saturday and Sunday, May 4th and 5th. Parents can bring their child with his or her favorite stuffed animal to the ER of Brookside interactive tent. The stuffed animal can get a “medical check-up”. Kids can also create their own popsicle stick alligator and paper plate rainbow, decorate cookies, and decorate a pot and plant a flower for Mother's Day with Price Chopper.

Saturday morning, special activities include a pancake breakfast at HJ’s Youth and Community Center, 6425 Wornall Rd, from 8:30 to 10:30 am. ER of Brookside is also hosting a petting zoo at HJ’s from 10 to 11 am, and Family-Centered Yoga at the Brookside tennis courts on Saturday, May 4, from 9 – 11 a.m. RSVP for Yoga at https://bit.ly/2IbKsH7.
