KC's largest no-kill animal shelter celebrates diamond anniversary

by Mary Wilson -- For three-quarters of a century, Wayside Waifs has been preparing pets and people for the bond of their lives. This year, as they celebrate their 75 th anniversary, the nonprofit organization focuses on remembering their rich history while preparing for the next 75 years.

  3. It is not a no kill shelter. I have worked there and have buried hundreds of cremated dogs in drums.
