TKC REPLACING MARY SANCHEZ ON KANSAS CITY STAR EDITORIAL BOARD!!!

Important news tonight and the end of an era for this blog . . .

TONIGHT TKC WILL REPLACE MARY SANCHEZ ON THE KANSAS CITY STAR EDITORIAL BOARD!!!

Her columns have been buried over the past few months and nobody has really seen her BUT, of course, Kansas City's daily newspaper wants to make sure that Latinos have a voice in the community and they realize that

For better or worse that TKC is the mostly widely read Latino-owned publication in the Midwest -- No joking about that either . . .

Anyhoo . . .

I'm working the night shift and I've come prepared with a really great column to share about tomorrow's election and a perspective about the effectiveness of voter activism . . . Really excited to see their response.

This is part of the reason for the new TKC comment policy but also it's just time to grow up a little and take my writing career to the next level.

I couldn't have achieved this without TKC readers and this blog will always hold a special place in my heart.

We'll report back on my first shift but I have really high hopes!!!

An honor that is well deserved. I look forward to reading your columns and think this is a great step forward for both the local Internet and the newspaper. It's about time there was cooperation instead of just competition. In the end, the readers win!

  3. A large blank space would be better than Mary Sanchez columns.

I still do not understand why TKC's new gig should require censorship priviliges by the city establishment.
