Michael Bushnell Northeast News KANSAS CITY - Emergency work has begun on the culverts and storm drains that surround the Benton Circle. The city placed barriers around the gaping sinkhole that has grown exponentially over the last few months. The Northeast News posted an update a few months back on the construction work after speaking with city engineers about the situation.

Massive water main break shuts down Nall Ave. at 95th St.

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - A water main break Monday afternoon near 95th Street and Nall Avenue sent water dozens of feet into the air and damaged Nall Avenue. Video from SKYTRACKER showed a water department worker attempting to shut off the flow of water, but not before the break had buckled a section of the road and sent water into the air.

Several injured following wreck in Independence

INDEPENDENCE, MO. (KCTV) --- Several people have been injured in a wreck at E. 23rd Street and S. Crysler, police say. Westbound lanes have been shut down and eastbound has been reduced to one lane in the area. Multiple vehicles were involved in the wreck.
