Another post in an ongoing series based on a collection of vintage matchbook covers, circa 1949. This trio focuses on dining establishments situated on U.S. highways that threaded through the city in the years before the interstate system ... The Hillside Tavern, then just east of the city limits on what today is called Blue Parkway, dated to the late 1930s.
