SHOCK!!! KANSAS CITY BISTRO 303 CONFRONTS SOCIAL MEDIA LGBT CRISIS!!!

For those who don't know, Bistro 303 is a beloved and very classy LGBT hangout.

This week, under the radar of most locals, the upscale bar has endured a social media crisis and push back that has garnered interest across the metro.

TKC DOES NOT confirm or deny any of the allegations in this viral FB post but simply offers this public link for the sake of public info of content that's already been posted and shared widely:

"Why did I quietly disappear from Bistro 303?"

It's a scathing confessional that's picking up steam and is soon to inspire further investigation. To be fair, the management seems to be pushing back against allegations as well but hasn't yet gone on record with their side of the story. The controversy might soon go public and what's interesting to TKC is this:

This bar debate has far more traction and local interest than the prospect of KC's first LGBT mayor now in the crucial part of her camapign.

  7. Is that bar for faggots or just lesbians? Can I go if I just want to watch two hot chicks making out?

  8. Let's look at the double standard here. If some kind of assault was going on at a hetero bar or even a black bar it would be all over the news and the police would shut it down immediately. But if your politics are "woke" then I guess you get a free pass.

  9. I think this is more the case of a bad owner that means to Too Faced some kind of scrutiny. Glad to see that that is happening somewhat.

  13. Yeah, read the blog. It was so awful he continued to work there 5 years more witnessing these "horrible events." If it was that bad, why would you continue to work there? Couldn't find another job as a bartender in Kansas City? Sound like a bitter drama queen. Kansas City is full of them. Can't build anything yourself so you'd rather rip apart anything anymore else has done.

  14. If I worked there, I would have swished right out the door and never looked back.

  16. working in kc bars is a crapshoot. Looks like this place has had more than it's share of problems, agree with this blog post. Need to hear both sides of the story.

  18. I’m not a homo, but this place has great reviews on Facebook and yelp. It sounds like it has really good food. Minus the special sauce.

  19. I guess this is how a gay drama queen “quietly disappears”.

  20. Is this place for homosexuals only or can normal people go there too?

    1. If the “normal” people are like you, it’s definitely homosexuals only.

    2. So, it’s not inclusive, is it?

    3. I think what 11:12 was getting at was your use of the word “normal,” which implies gay people are not. If you want to check this place out, as long as you’re respectful, I’m sure you would be welcome.

  21. Actually, it's a really nice place that usually provides great service. Far better than what most readers of this dump blog can afford. I've heard some rumors about disputes between the club staff and it's management but I didn't think they would go public on facebook. Sounds like a really unfortunate situation where accusations go flying like crazy. I guess I can only say that I'm glad they didn't let all of this fighting spill over in into their service. I've been to this place several times and it's one of the best experiences in KC.

  24. Interesting that the blogger is a bff of bistro 303's ex-manager who recently quit to work for a competitor. Might that have something to do with why he's posting this now and not when he quit 6 months ago?

  25. ^^^ He's not a blogger, he's a facebooker. Sounds like he's stirring up a lot and putting his name on it. Bad move.
