Bogus. Bad brakes didn't put this guy on the sidewalk doing 60 mph. Looking forward to finding out whether he had some medical condition that should have kept him from driving.

Simple enough investigation.

^^and yet it's not. Weird.

^^^ and yet it is. Not that you have the slightest comprehension of mechanical systems, brakes are sealed. Not only that, if you lose a brake line to one wheel, the others will still function. A competent forensic mechanic will be able to determine that in a few minutes of examination i.e. "simple." More likely this was the case of another old guy who should have had their license taken years ago. He confused the gas a the brake pedal and caused a tragedy.

So many questions, can you not depress the parking brake? Drop the car in neutral? Simply let off on the accelerator? 9:33 is absolutely right, just dealt with a bad brake line on my daughters shitty car, the brake would depress all the way to the floor but it still stopped. Essentially, all the lines would have to be bad for you to have no braking at the pedal.

My guess is this guy was confused and hit the gas. You don't hit 60 without that happening. Fucking sad man. A 14 year old is dead now.

CAUSE OF ACCIDENT:

Driver mentally impaired

A teenager is dead and the state of Kansas will likely not hold anyone accountable.

The mentally impaired are commenting here.

11:16 they appear to do so all day long not just here. So sad we have to endure that sort of childish stuff.

The city of OP KS with bring charges against the driver you can bet on that. They are just getting all the facts and evidence together before they do. I'm sure the driver has lawyered up and they will be fighting the release of medical records. The death of this child will not go unanswered.
