City Hall is no longer sure that if they build it, visitors will come . . . At least not to the Convention Center that taxpayers were forced to finance without a public vote. Meanwhile, the overbuilding pushed by City Hall threatens biz across the loop as PR hacks tout upcoming bookings but don't answer concerns about biz practices like the sketchy catering contracts at the Mike Burke hotel that threaten tank the whole operation.

Myself and Tonyskansascity readers told you so over a year ago it looks like tonys readers have more knowledge Then City Hall and the Movers and Screwed up Developers. And this is common sense .The Tonyskansascity readers are smarter than people that run this City. Many tourists come hear once. To many fun places to visit. You will have to have a couple conventions a,week.
ReplyDeleteI missed spoke. There are a couple of readers on hear that are not the sharpest knife in the drawer. I'M sorry for the Typos. My Robot,is typing. SHE IS HOT.
ReplyDelete^^^ LOL! Nice recovery Retro.
ReplyDeletePart of Sly's plan to create jobs at any price for his unemployable cronies... Maybe we need to expand the Jazz Museum board to 80 folks.

ReplyDeleteThe city council just voted 10 to 1 for the taxpayers to OWN the old YMCA building in the "Jazz District", which will cost millions of dollars to improve and even more millions to operate and maintain FOREVER.
Grocery stores, airport terminals, houses, corporate headquarters, YMCAs, and on and on.
Owned by a city that can't even maintain its streets and utilities.
And the next round of elected clowns are just like the last.
It never changes.
sLIE’s is gonna live in the mayoral suite that covers the entire top floor, free of course
ReplyDelete6:30, who was the sole "no" vote? I wonder what they plan to do with the old YWCA. It can't be an exercise facility since the Gregg-Klice Community Center is just a few blocks away.
ReplyDeleteI was thinking since tourism is SO HUGE in Kansas City about celebrating diversity by building a smaller hotel on Euclid ave and around 27th st. Then host American urban safari tours around the east side from there. Don’t worry their safety will be insured the tour bus will have bulletproof windows, and plenty of snacks to attract the wildlife (snacks being mix tapes).
