This town is a lot smaller than KCMO and they're continually strapped for resources given the misguided development adventures of the Unified Government. Now the deadly crime that's spreading along the metro impacts this community as well. Checkit:
Kansas City, Kansas police search for suspect in sixth homicide of 2019
KANSAS CITY, KS (KCTV) -- Police are looking for a suspect in an overnight homicide on Lafayette Avenue north of Heathwood Park. Around 11 p.m. Wednesday night police responded to and found a black male shooting victim. He was pronounced dead when emergency crews arrived. Police are not releasing his name or age just yet.
