Nice look at locals working to save a local landmark that's important to residents throughout the community and the metro. Take a look:

Iconic steps outside Paseo High could get a makeover

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - The famous steps on the hill along Volker Boulevard near the Paseo Academy of Fine and Performing Arts in Kansas City, Missouri, could get a much-needed facelift. The owner of a local business believes the steps could become a place for the community to gather and re-energize neighbors to develop healthy habits.

The MLK steps ?

So it’s not paseo for Paseo high school? Because I thought that was a senior project for the school way back in the day?

^^^^ That's exactly right.

"believes the steps could become a place for the community to gather"

Wear armor!!!!! Our "gatherings" tend to be rather violent.

So the $100+ millions at 18th and Vine aren't enough to provide "a place for the community to gather"?
Or on the newly-named $375,00/year MLK Boulevard?
Or the parking lot of the taxpayer-funded grocery store at 31st and Prospect?
Or the newly-security overloaded Westport?
Nothing here that another few million dollars can't help with.
It never changes.

^^so why cry about it then?

Another example of failed infrastructure and deferred maintenance by the Slie organization.

He stated; "If it becomes a reality, he said it will serve as a beacon to encourage a healthy lifestyle that will lure more visitors to Kansas City."

KCMO supposedly has 25 million tourists/visitors anally and KCMO cannot handle any more as we are filled up. This momentum is so overwhelming.
