Before they were rejected they touted a favorable recommendation and "medium-High rating". Now it seems that all they have is hype and a great deal excuses about their rejection from the feds. Take a look at this propaganda disguised as news from development blogger and former engineering company worker:

With 25 million tourists anally to draw from the failed fair weather toy train has only had 6 million riders. Evidently the tourists are not impressed with the failed fair weather toy train.

Once you create an unaccountable quasi-public operation like the "Streetcar Authority" (or the Port Authority)its priorities become endless accumulation and expansion of power and money and its own self-preservation.
And, as in this case, it makes no difference whatsoever whether what it's doing is needed or even wanted by the public, who invariably ends up picking up its tab.
This already-faded fad will be a sucking chest wound on KCMO taxpayers for many many decades.
How much was your water bill this month?
It never changes.

Hold on to your pocketbooks. More taxes on the way to support more UNWANTED WASTEFUL PET PROJECTS. (No pun on PET) Infrastructure is not glamorous and will not be addressed in a meaningful way. Jolie talks "education". Code words for even more bucks wasted on KC schools and "ute scholars" who care less about learning and earning. Two queers running for mayor. Guess where more monies headed.

It's time to ask our new mayor if they will back the voters and shut this debacle down or continue to tell the voters "you don't matter". This is a great debate question..
