Kansas City Season Of Homicide Vigils Starts

A tragic tradition starts once again as some of the more cynical locals criticize the public display of grief in the absence of any realistic plan to curb the local homicide count (38 so far in 2019) and lessen the quotient of misery in KCMO. Checkit:

Parents of homicide victims remember children at KCPD vigil

Sunday marked the first day of National Crime Victims' Rights Week - a time to honor not only victims, but also the advocates who fight tirelessly for them. The Kansas City chapter of Parents of Murdered Children marked the solemn occasion with its 29th annual vigil for homicide victims at the Kansas City, MIssouri, Police Department's East Patrol Division.

  1. This is more of the same failed feel good programs approach to curb crime.
    Has no effect.

  2. They say you never get over losing a child, but nothing will change until there is tougher laws on crime and enough police on the streets. Sly James is to blame along with bad people like Beyonce and her big mouth that got many police killed and crime went up after her racist rant.

Hurry up and get those MLK signs up all along The Paseo, and start paying the King family.

    Killings will immediately cease.

BTW, I see North Kansas City had a little DIVERSITY lesson at First Fed Bank Saturday. Nice to see such learning spread around.
