Legislator Dan Tarwater put forward a resolution to stop plans to sell some seats replaced at Arrowhead, The Kansas City Star reports. Tarwater objects to plans by County Executive Frank White to store some of the seats until it can find a vendor to sell them.

The training will help local people in the community become "suicide-alert" helpers. "Someone could be considering suicide at any point and any time," said Megan Clark, prevention coordinator for Johnson County Mental Health Center.

KANSAS CITY, Kan. -- A Phoenix man has been sentenced after officials say he moved to Kansas City, Kansas to run a drug house. U.S. Attorney Stephen McAllister said 35-year-old Jose A. Badilla was sentenced Monday to 21 years in federal prison.
