Say what you will, but ole Henry played a larger role in Kansas City than many will ever give him credit for.

I remember in about 1974, when he became so famous. all the stockbrokers in town bought Mercedes Benzes like his, and dyed their hair grey. They just wanted to mistaken for him. He was a great guy. Its a shame his historic home on Ward Parkway was bought by an amateur remodeler and then later torn down when it wouldn't sell, due to the cheap work performed. There is still an empty lot by Meyer Circle where that beautiful house was. Henry was such an understated and kind man. A great example for kids to follow.

1:20 do you always have to be such an ass? Not a thing wrong with what Dave said, but fuck no you can't just keep your fucking negative ass mouth shut.
Where is your comment about his being an old rich geezer better off without him and other nasty things? Byron be here soon bitching about him being white and rich.
He was a good man and many probably have no idea how good he was.

OK, how about this:

He used the cheap labor of others to amass wealth. Such users are always admired, & looked up to, by the middle class.

DST Systems Inc used the cheap labor of many smart local college educated professionals to line the CEO and President's pockets with hundreds of Millions of dollars worth of stock options. While setting a hostile work environment where NOBODY got a positive review except the upper management. Its was the best example of a negative, blame finding and self serving company ever. Even the public shareholders felt ripped off! Henry was a hero in comparsion and paid MUCH more than DST Systems ever dreamed of! Henry is one of the greatest business men in Kansas City! We need to honor him.

If the Socialist-Democrats (many of whom are running for President in 2020) have their way, then people like Henry Bloch will never appear on the scene again.

^^Oh well. If that's the price to pay for living in a Trump-free world, so be it!

See Ya around Henry! We all know you gave loans to Arthur Bryant's and Gates BBQ to get the field of KC BBQ started. Without the white man, KC Wouldn't have had any tasty BBQ

God Speed!

Yes Dave, please elaborate more on who these people are who would refuse to give Mr.Bloch credit. Can you give us the details on the "large role" he played in KC? I mean other than founding H&R Bloch, or giving millions of dollars to the Nelson & various other charities, as well as being one of the most philanthropic persons this city has ever known. I mean, we all know that and give him credit for that, so what's this mysterious larger role he played? Do tell.

1:28, that was Richard Bloch house, not Henry's.

3:11 give it a rest, you're really an irritating person to see all the time on all the posts making petty attacks which make you look like a jealous loser. Most the readers in here didn't know Henry existed as much as they did Richard and could care less. You want details made, then make your own. I agree with what Dave said; short, sweet and to the point, so I guess you'll feel the need to attack me now.

Yes, because you are stupid Dave. Stupid.

^^^You ever get tired of saying that all the time stupid?

“Crib dummy” are you stupid or retarded..... or both?

Definitely both. Weird.

Its poetic justice that Henry, of the Jewish faith, was able to bomb Berlin in WWII......with Hitler hiding in the Berlin bunker, Henry was unloading a B-17 full of bombs over Hitler's head. Adolf must have heard those very bombs exploding in the distance. I am sure German fighter aircraft attacked and shot at Henry's plane. And Henry survived to be very well known and loved. Poetic justice at its best. He didn't avoid the war or dodge it. Or get a cushy desk job someplace in the safe zone. What a hero!
