KC grandmother fights crime after family falls victim

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - A Kansas City grandmother is coming up with a plan to fight crime. Wisdom Williams was prompted to act after crime came flying into her window. Her 4-year-old grandson was shot by a stray bullet. I sat down with her to learn more about that frightening day and how she's turning it into something positive.

  2. Yet ANOTHER made-up "program" to fight crime.
Each time there's a homicide, after the usual television face time and balloon launch, the big announcement is made.
The latest folks can never join the dozens of other "programs" that already exist, even the largest and most expensive of the mix, like Aim4Peace.
None of them do a thing to actually reduce the murder rate, of course, but the television "news" folks are always there after each homicide to get some inane comment like "enough is enough".
How about start small and doing something like cooperating with the police?
Or even more basically, raising kids and encouraging members of your family to be responsible, work hard in school, get a job, respect yourself and others, and behave like the vast majority of other people?
    Charity begins at home.

This same plan was tried before and it failed. These people got what they wanted and that was more face time.
