Mostly, The Church spent lavish amounts of money glorifying itself. Norte Dame represents a colossal waste of resources, & effort. So, naturally, they are going to double down on this waste by rebuilding it.
Expect more one sided debate today about which is more absurd, Christianity or Islam?
Fer cryin' out loud - forget about all the positive/negative blather re: religion; this is a piece of living history, whatever the religious origins. Crystal spire would be nice....but if they could replace my roof while they're at it, I won't say 'no' to that :-)

ReplyDeleteMost likely muslims did do it. It happened during the week of Passover and there was no construction going on that day and the place had been evacuated an hour before. Plus, no one is talking about cause which is a giant red flag
