Take a peek at numbers, hype and the fact that the new Downtown monstrosity is building into hotel room glut. Sadly, taxpayers will be forced to make up the difference for this continually sketchy project wherein city hall has already committed HUNDREDS OF MILLIONS of dollars worth of subsidy. Checkit:

The smart people all along have said the convention hotel was a bad idea and nobody listened. The smart people all said the folly trolly was a bad idea and nobody listened. The smart people have all said the current airport expansion is a bad idea and once again nobody listened.
ReplyDeleteI wonder when are the voters going to be the smart ones for once and vote this over spending bunch of fools out of office?
You elect officials to work for you, not against you.
ummm...take the hint dummy, nobody is listening to you goons! Jesus, are you that dumb?
ReplyDeleteLet's look swell for the election hype it up.
ReplyDeleteHey stupid Dave, you don’t even live in KC! Keep your nose out of our business!
ReplyDelete
ReplyDeleteI have worked front desk in the hotel business for years in KC and the occupancy rate has always been lower except when something is in town, and that has been fact way before the other hotels came in! This over building was just a corruption to line the pockets of Sly, the developers and whoever else is under the table with Sly.
@6:32 Don't speak for me. I'm listening to the others to hear what they have to say.....Are you really that dumb ???? YES YOU ARE!!!!!
^^^Mentally ill. Maybe dumb too, but mostly mental.
ReplyDeleteDave nails it along with the hotel worker. This was a ripoff scheme so that sly's friends could make a ton of money. It is one of the biggest scams ever to make it's way through city hall. I'm glad to see some people know it!
ReplyDeleteDave is right, this time.
ReplyDeleteWhy is Byron licking Dave’s nutsack? People can decide for themselves if Dave is right or not, they don’t need a retard like Byron to tell them.
ReplyDeleteI agree 10:26
ReplyDeleteHey we have 25 million visitors coming. They need a place to stay.
ReplyDeleteBecause of the recent fire at Notre Dame cathedral the news has talked about how this will affect the visitors to Paris this year. They were bragging how they had 23 million visitors in 2018..kcmo had 25 million?
ReplyDeleteDave is wrong again. As per usual. Dave doesn't understand what he's talking about. Dave's a dummy.
ReplyDeleteHotel rates are $200 a night downtown for a shitty ol' room with no frills. That's a lot of money unless you're financially well off. At least these hotels can get converted into condos in a few years.
ReplyDeleteWe don't have festivals like in austin and there's really nothing that's going to fill these rooms
