  4. How funny! You can't compare Brookside to Ruskin. Not even close. Ruskin has ugly houses that still sell for as low as 40K. Ruskin is the armpit of Missouri. No comparison at all.

  5. 8:11, I think /R/woosh is most appropriate for you. Ruskin was a thriving neighborhood in the first half of the century, comparable to Brookside in the current era. The wonders of a driven population migration into the area in the 70's started to take hold immediately. By the 80's crime was rampant and it only continued to decline. Unfortunately for Ruskin, as the scourge of the City ebbs and flows from KCMO, Ruskin is always and forever inundated by the wonders of the progressive agenda. The parallels for Brookside are definitely there.

  7. I live in Leawood. Trust me, Brookside is becoming just like Ruskin. I am still fucking a few married women from Brookside, but way less than in the past.

  11. ^^^^^^^only a false bravado millennial still suckling on his mothers ample tits while living in his parents basement would say that. Ironically, while they try to sell there house and GTFO themselves.

  12. I have never understood the fascination with Brookside. It has some decent shops and restaurants, but the neighborhood is nothing to write home about. Early 20th-century shirtwaist houses, some well-kept, next to others ready for the wrecking ball. The hood lies just to the east. KCMO’s notoriously bad infrastructure, city services and schools and taxes that will jump through the roof when the chickens come home to roost after all the “momentum” projects. If someone has to live in KCMO, the Ward Pkwy corridor or condos on the Plaza are the last truly nice addresses and even they must endure the same city-related problems listed above.
