How is the driver out free ? I realize they probably did a blood alcohol at hospital but there were witnesses that said he was driving in way too straight a line down that sidewalk for it to be something like a seizure. Prayers to her poor family.

Kind of weird. The police aren’t saying anything about the driver and are asking for people to call the tips line for info on it? They said no prelim of alcohol so maybe they want people to call in if they know the person is fucked up on pills, leans towards Islamist, or had seizure issues

So sad!

Maybe his daddy is mayor, and will get sent to another state for awhile.

How is this man not being held and charged with manslaughter? When used improperly by a person, vehicles can kill—just like guns, knives or any other harmful object. This 14-year-old girl had her whole life ahead of her. An uncle of mine killed his girlfriend when he was younger because he was playing around with a shotgun and didn't know it was loaded. It was a really, really stupid mistake that put him in prison for a long time. The full police report has yet to come out, so I will wait before getting too upset. People who are driving a vehicle that weighs at least a ton can take someone's life when driven recklessly, and should be tried and convicted to the fullest extent of the law, not a few years and probation. When the law takes it more seriously, maybe people will think twice before they put someone's life, or their own, in danger.
