  1. Rate the Royals are going it only need to hold 12,000 people.

  2. The only people who want baseball downtown are the homosexuals who live there. They don’t really understand the game but cheer like crazy when the batter gets four balls.

  3. It's going to happen. The only people who don't want it to happen are the closeted geriatrics who don't really understand the game but cheer like crazy when the the batter swings a big stick.

    1. You spelled gayzers wrong. And, they're not closeted. They swish around the stadium and get so giggly excited while having their sausages in buns, and munching a large bag of nuts!

  4. Best place is at 18th and Paseo where the ATA is. Easy to add access, cleans-up the area, doesn't screw up downtown traffic.

    1. Yes 9:26 paseo/east side is the answer if consensus builds that we need to abandon HST complex. Inside the downtown freeway noose er "loop" would have to dead end too many streets plus traffic/parking disruption would further choke off commerce in our sad li'l downtown.

For my opinion building the stadiums in Ray town and the airport in Iowa were stupid decisions but we realistically can't do anything about it now. Thanks,
      Radish

  5. Closeted geriatrics????? ROFLMAO That doesn't even make sense!

  6. Why would anybody want the stadium downtown? They moved it out of 23rd and Brooklyn because of the traffic jams and no parking, only idiots that are scared to leave downtown want it there. But I guess the real reason is to fuck the taxpayers again and give the money to developers as usual. Besides, it’s not good for the kids!

    ReplyDelete
  7. Won’t it cost about a HALF BILLION DOLLARS just to buy out the businesses to build the stadium. Where’s that money coming from and there still isn’t a stadium built.

    ReplyDelete
  8. They are expecting the stadium to cost between 800 million and one billion dollars, tats chump change to idiots

  9. Whispers: "Build it and they will come"

  10. Traffic Light4/30/19, 8:31 AM

It is beyond comprehension why anybody would want a little league baseball team and stadium in the downtown area disgracing Slie's utopia.

  11. The parking situation downtown is already almost at critical mass. So it only makes sense to irrational spendthrifts to make it worse by building a stadium requiring acres and acres of parking. Oh, I know. Let's make everybody ride public transportation! The fact that such public transportation does not exist and will cost even more $billions is immaterial. While we are at it, let's build it out of rainbows and use unicorn fur to upholster the seats. Sounds like a plan to me.

  12. Jason Grill...now there's a real genius...buttboy for Roshann Parris, JoCo princess who never saw a project she didn't want Jackson County taxpayers to fund. Please stay in Leawood and quit foisting your stupid ideas on us!!

  13. It's not going to happen folks!!!

  14. What's hilarious are the fanboy season ticket holders who think it will never happen. See you guys at the downtown stadium groundbreaking.

  15. Don’t forget that the world will end in 12 years according occasional cortex! Hahahahaha!

  16. What a stupid poorly thought out idea.

  17. "KC, abandons reason all who enter here."

  18. I live in Joco and don’t want my children exposed to all the homosexuals downtown when we go to baseball games. If I wanted my children exposed to homosexuals and faggotry, we would just join the Church of the Resurrection.

  19. Every party has a pooper, that's why we invited you, TKC! Have none of you dolts ever been to Denver or Chicago and seen the dynamism downtown baseball provides?

  20. make it smaller and nicer

    ReplyDelete
  21. Why not let Royals Fans pay for this project? That would realistic and totally fair.

    ReplyDelete
  22. No everyone who isn't into baseball and will never watch or attend a game in their lifetime should be forced to finance this idea for the public good right?

  23. Heard the sheep into the chutes for shearing please.

  24. 9:50 there’s an idea! Just like the airport!

  25. This City can’t fix potholes. Why the fuck would we trust them to do the right thing and KEEP The K and Arrowhead? KCMO City leaders and clowncil aren’t worth a bad of dog shit.

    ReplyDelete
  26. 9:36, you fool, Wrigley Field is not in Downtown Chicago!!

  27. 2030? You know I hate where the Royals and Chiefs are located. Shitty area.

The Royals are in LAST PLACE in their division as they should be. Its the Royals. They are 9-20. Who cares where the stadium is. This isnt a championship town. All you hardcore Chiefs fans will just be let down year after year too.

As to the earlier posts about the homosexuals downtown. Yeah, the successful queers can afford to live there and they live on the plaza too. The ones with really bad mental issues live in west plaza or down in westport. Westport is where the communists, antifa, and gender confused also live and gather. The butch lesbo progressives wearing black leather knee high boots and tank tops with hair in their armpits...because you know...feminism.

The Royals will never be a championship team because of who owns it. Did you see how fast they carved up the team after winning the world series? Its not meant to be, and the whole "forever royal" bullshit is just a sales gimmick. Now, go stock up on Heinz Ketchup you Mahomes fanboys.

  28. Whats really wrong with the stadiums we have now? I mean come on it's a ballpark not the Taj Mahal. Wrigley Field is 105 years old and ain't nobody talking about replacing it.

No one person should live a life in a town that has rebuilt it's ballparks 3 times during that fans life. A new ballpark does not beget a winning team either.

Leave the ballparks where they are and save the taxpayers from paying out the ass to aid some rich fat cat from getting even richer.

    ReplyDelete
  29. @ 1:44 - Ah-Oh, look out common sense is being posted. T you better censor that stuff because it might start rubbing off everyone and then what do you have? Conservatives!
I think if...IF...new ball parks were to be built it will be in OP or Olathe where the people who actually attend the games actually live. But we don't want to have the riff-raff to come here so the LGBTQers need to stay down town.

  30. What rational argument is there for moving either team from one of the best sports venues in America to a stadium shoehorned into the downtown area – other than the pipedream of some downtown property owners of increasing the value of their real estate at the expense of the public (since neither of our team owners is likely to full a Jerry Jones and finance his own stadium)?

Spending $1 billion – even if part of it is private money – makes absolutely no sense. And if it is public money? Better to spend the money on affordable housing and infrastructure. Want to ride the streetcar to a baseball game? Cheaper to build a streetcar that runs from downtown out to the baseball stadium – a streetcar that can be used more than 80 times a year.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. We spent $102 million on the 2 mile streetcar route, and it is 100% inside of existing street right of ways i.e. zero costs for grading, acquisition, etc. A street car from say 10th and main out to the K/Arrowhead would be about ten miles and would cost five hundred million at least of done by the same geniuses responsible for the silly embarrassing little main Street corridor streetcar authority.

  31. There are too many homosexuals downtown and nowhere to park. If we build a ballpark downtown the queers will insist the restrooms have glory holes and a gay bar.

    ReplyDelete
  32. I'm against most spending and a pretty conservative guy but I do believe a downtown baseball stadium needs to happen and will be good for the city. Downtown stadiums have improved downtowns in denver, minneapolis, baltimore, and anywhere else they go. This isn't some "convention hotel" nonsense. It gets more people going to games and builds up businesses around the stadium

    ReplyDelete
  33. Lets see who owns the land and follow the money The cost of parking should go way up and the traffic when a game and sprint center have an event should bring everything to a stand still
