Typically, a tough Winter offers a respite from local violence at least from a statistical standpoint. However, this year rampant gunfire among teens, gangs and in tense domestic situations temporarily spiked the local murder count. Thankfully the numbers have evened out a bit despite the fact that the current level of homicide and killing disprove talk about "progress" in the local crime fight.

KC legislator sponsors 'hands up' bill in Missouri

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - A Kansas City-area representative wants to make it illegal for police to shoot suspects who are "surrendering." Missouri Rep. Brandon Ellington (D - 22nd District) filled HB 1086 this week. Ellington said a suspect who has put his hands up should be considered to be surrendering and therefore not be shot by police.

  3. The central urban corridor downtown to midtown to plaza is basically a hell hole.

    Anything goes and nothing matters.

    You probably won't notice if you sit in year house or office year round rarely looking out the windows to observe the shit storm.
