WILL THE BILL NIGRO KANSAS CITY PARTY BUS ROUTE SAVE WESTPORT?!?!
And here's where the "institutional" knowledge of this blog comes into play . . . Westport wants to be at the center of party people transit very much like the old "Kansas City Strip" trolley route that FAILED back in 2013.
However, organizers have learned their lesson and now want taxpayers to pick up the tab.
Check the latest plan from:
Westport business owner Bill Nigro to propose entertainment tour, ‘KC to the Maxx’
On Wednesday, Nigro plans to make a presentation to the Kansas City Area Transportation Authority Board about an idea he’s calling “KC to the Maxx.” The idea is for a 10-stop entertainment route that would run on Friday and Saturday nights using RideKC buses. The service would cost $5 to ride all night or $3 to ride one-way. Stops would include Zona Rosa, City Market, Power and Light, Martini Corner, Westport, the Plaza, Brookside, Waldo, Marco Polo Center and the Rosanna Square Shopping Center. The service would include an app offering additional information about bus schedules and neighborhood amenities."
The question that nobody has bothered to ask Mr. Nigro . . .
IF THIS PARTY PLAN DIDN'T WORK AS THE KANSAS CITY STRIP THAN WHY SHOULD TAXPAYERS FUND A BIGGER VERSION OF THE SAME SCHEME?!?!
You decide . . .
