WARNING!!! KANSAS CITY GUNFIRE VICTIM DIES ONE WEEK AFTER MISTAKEN IDENTITY SHOOTING AT PROSPECT BUS STOP!!!

And so, the horrific local homicide count continues to rise in 2019 . . .

THIS IS THE 29TH KCMO MURDER SO FAR THIS YEAR!!!

Compare that total to 27 at this time last year and 24 the year before that . . .

Fox4: 30-year-old KC dad dies one week after being shot at Prospect bus stop

Deets:

Last Friday night the 30-year-old dad left an auto body shop and walked just a few feet to a bus stop near 46th and Prospect. He was waiting to catch a bus back home.

The young father told his relatives two men first pulled up in a dark colored car. The victim said the passenger hopped out, approached him, shot him at least six times and then jumped back into the vehicle, which sped off.

He told his family he'd never seen the men before.

"He said it was just mistaken identity. I kept asking, but he didn't want to talk about it because he figured something might happen to me," the victim's mother said.

This is important for a lot of reasons but here's the most important . . .

KILLERS ON URBAN CORE STREETS ARE SO EMBOLDENED THAT THEY'RE NOT EVEN MAKING SURE IF THEY'VE GOT THE RIGHT GUY BEFORE THEY START SHOOTING!!!

This is a level of lawlessness we haven't seen since the 90s and so far the crisis on local streets hasn't met with much attention from local political leaders.

  1. more like 35 murders if they really showed the numbers. And most people were snowed or iced in for the winter.

  2. I hope voters will keep this kind of thing in mind when electing a new mayor. A vote for any current member of the council is a vote for continuing KC’s spiral down the drain. Whether you’re liberal or conservative, everyone knows what element of KC society commits the vast majority of these violent crimes, and as long as they have someone turning a blind eye to their nonsense (i.e. Sly and his council), it will only get worse.

We should construct factories where all they do is manufacture hand guns.

We should translate "A well regulated militia..." into an unregulated individual.

We can't really solve this problem, because it's not a problem, it's who we are.

  4. Byron often makes good points in his posts, but today he's wrong.

It's not "we" who are a problem, it's "them" - the "them" who have been told so often that they are "victims" and who have been allowed and encouraged to blame every irresponsible act and every bit of self-indulgent foolishness on their "victimhood", and who have been taught to reject (as schemes of an "oppressor") all the standards of behavior that Society has patched together to allow us to function.

Until the behavior of "them" is no longer tolerated and admired, there will be no solution. And the cure cannot be imposed from outside, but can only come from the few leaders within who recognize and work against this self-imposed "victimhood".

  6. yup, it’s the murderous blacks again, and again and again. When was the last time whitey murdered someone in killa shitty? I honestly can’t remeber. Over 160 murders this year and last year and all of it has been black on black or black on white yet no one will say it out loud or do a damn thing about it. Killa shitty has earned its nickname and apparently loves it.

  8. 8:59 A white guy killed someone in Raytown a couple of weeks ago but your point is valid, it rarely happens. This murder right here encapsulates so much the world of black people. It is bad enough they don't report known killers but look at this guy, this guy won't even name his killer. Black people cannot be helped, after all, they won't help themselves.
