Here's local tech biz talking about something outside his area of expertise as Team Sly works to call in favors for a ballot effort going down in flames. Take a look:

Time for apathy is over, Condon says; Advocates make business case for Pre-K

  1. Well that pretty much answers the question of where most of the money would end up.
Which is to say where many millions already end up.
Not likely to create much support for Sly's terrible proposal, but at least the business folks are honest to let voters know it's just another dialing for dollars scheme.
Big big budget holes to fill are coming to KCMO.
All the usual suspects better get what they can!

TKC readers are, to a degree, aware of this shitty's deplorable governance, but we are most often preaching to the choir.

However, most citizens are not that interested, or simply too busy earning a living and taking care of their families, and often fail to vote or make any real effort to become informed.

Two years ago the vote to extend the E Tax slush fund for another 20 years was/is a prime example. I fear too many will simply see "for the kids" and vote yes.

  5. "Do it for the children!" is their rallying cry for more tax payer's money. And the democrat voters of Kansas City are stupid enough to fall for it.
