  1. Yeah, if you have the option, bottled water might be a good choice for the moment. Boiling is definitely a must.

    2. Of course the news says there is no reason to panic. Because there really isn't any options if everybody went to the store right now and started stocking up. Not that much bottled water in KC. Glad for the people who prepared ahead. Filtration systems are a pretty good idea as well

  3. Maybe the $12 million contracted out for a PR campaign and efforts to sell private insurance to residents would have been better spent on water quality projects.
    In KCMO?
    Not a chance!

  4. It’s embarrassing that KC has strayed so close to the outlier Flint, Michigan.
Leadership should be on the News drinking the tap water and showing that it is safe.

    Observations:

    1. No leadership.
    2. It’s not safe.

It’s either of these two. Bow Tie can say he is too busy, but not to appoint someone else in the event he is not around? Paper leader.

Where is the Star? Can anyone remember when public health from water was questioned? Where are the articles? Oh- maybe the editorial board needs to get off their arses and make their voices count with real reporting. No one knows how to turn a “paper” around- but if they are going to lose money- at least have reporters report facts and not opinions that puss off half the people.

    Happy Sunday.

  5. Remember 2011 manmade flooding? Is this flooding caused by US Army Corps of Engineers following mandates of states for recreation, wildlife habitat, irrigation and other reasons over flood control. Hamburg, IA had a temporary dike, fed had it torn down, and town is gone in 2019.

  6. Of course they aren't going to tell anyone about the bad water. Go get bottled water until this is over, if you get sick sue the city for keeping this silent, get a doctors report and save some of the contaminated water.

  7. You shit heads act like this only happens in KC. After the Joplin tornado, there was a massive run on bottled water all over the area because tap water went out. Then for several days after that we were under boil orders because of contamination. I went thru that whole episode 8 years ago. It’s what happens when you have a natural disaster.

At least no one’s home in KC has been wiped out like many have up North. But certainly no one here gives a fuck because we can’t blame it on the usual things you fucktards have your sick pathlogical hated towards like the Streetcar, MoDOT, MU Columbia, joe turner, downtown, the Royals, the Chiefs, PL District and so on.

    1. Lol shutup. Goes under category of bad infrastructure that will never be fixed and crappy city government that prefers shallow apocryphal PR more than due dilignece.

  8. My water bill used to be $60 for two months. Now, it's over $100 for one month. As usual, the mayor and city council do nothing about it.

  9. 7:23 might be right. The flooding up north too?

  10. 7:49 city hall minion working early and often this weekend, it’s ok to admit that this city under sLIE’s 100% total failure of leadership, his 100% total failure of infrastructure has caused us to be a third world country at this point. It must really hurt to finally see the actual devastation he’s caused this city. Nothing a good psychiatrist and some really good medication can help get you through it all! It’s a long road to recovery for you, but you can pull through! Biggest thing to remember is to not repeat the past failures over the last eight years!

  11. 7:49 is absolutely correct.

TKC's kool-aid drinkers are more dangerous, in my opinion than the "hood rats" east of Troost. The thugs over there keep it tot themselves. TKC bloggers have been known to stalk people on this blog they don't like - posting their names, places of work, home addresses, type of car they drive and license plates, then try to encourage people to inflict physical harm to them.

But one weird link posted without comment from last fall is pretty thin gruel on which to make the dramatic statements you're making, drama queen.

  22. Just add cheap whiskey to your glass of tap water. It will kill some of the bacteria and make the rest so blotto that they won't be able to do any harm.
