    1. Honestly, if he made the primary it would be good for Kansas City and give us a candidate who at least has a reputation and people who know him outside of political circles. The problem with Kansas City politics is that so few people participate and there is a skepticism about the process from the public. If the General got past the primary that would show that real people could make a difference and power at the voting booth doesn't belong just to the richest or the most connected candidate.

  5. Actually, I think the general has a good complaint against Jolie and the Mayor is on video on her campaign page giving her special preference. Don't dismiss the complaint because he's making a good argument.

  6. The general has got my vote. Good for him! It took guts to file this complaint against TWO LAWYERS. He might be the bravest guy in the race.

Really think Clay and the other candidates should join the compliant. Not right that City Hall should dictate the next mayor. The way this election has gone has been dirty from the start and the mayor is unfairly supporting Jolie Justice. Just a shame all around and a sign that the next person to take the office will be tainted.

  9. ACTUALLY TKC,

The complaint against Steve Miller is more serious. Just wanted to let you know that other candidates are looking into this too. You heard it here first.

  10. Maybe the star was right to choose Canady and Glynn. The rest of the mayoral field obviously doesn't know what they're doing.

  11. Jolie eats a lot of pussy

  12. My fear is who will the general prefer to help in killa shitty, no matter who wins its always the kolored citizens who end up with the preferential treatment, aka the free money.

  13. I’m sorry, but the document looks like it was written by a 3rd grader. While its content may be solid, this “General” character should have gotten some assistance in crafting a more professional looking piece for submission. Otherwise, it makes him appear insane like that flake from WV who is always posting drivel on here.

    1. Exactly. My 3rd grader has better hand writing and less grammatical errors. Geesh.

  14. This entire campaign fiasco is absolutely hilarious!
And Sly thinks that people around the country think KCMO is a big league city that's "leading the way"?
Even people in the metro can only laugh at the clowns parading around making believe they're big players in that vibrant sophisticated urban environment.
The circus needs a few more rings.
And the general needs more than just five stars.
    Who actually writes this material?
    It's comedy gold!

  15. This will be dismissed the same as the people's vote on the failed fair weather toy train.

  16. 7:06 I don’t care what it looks like, facts are facts ma’am!

  17. Good god I hope people actually listen to the Star's endorsement this time. They FINALLY got it right with Phil Glynn. The grassroots crowd already knew he was the best candidate for the job, now the city knows. VOTE SMART.

  18. The messed up part is that he's right.

8:33, we will stipulate that you thing you are more wonderful than any of us, but we think what he said was more important than whether he passed your sanity test by submitting a typed, & grammatically correct missive.

Jesus ben Joseph, form is NOT more important than content, you dumb fuck.

  21. Did anybody actually take the time to look at the City Charter? I don't know what Lee is citing to with "Article 10" and "Article 13" but it is not the City Charter. As to Miller, the Charter only requires 2 years residency prior to the date of election and 5 years over the course of the candidates entire life.

  22. This man is a buffoon and wears the stars of a General of the Armies which should be an embarrassment to all of us as well as him. He is uninformed and ignorant ans should be ignored rather than exhibited.

    ReplyDelete
  23. True...he did make it past the primary in the last election (2nd place) due to incompetent Board of Election Staff and Sly not being disqualified when He and Clay Chastain launched a complain about Sly James taxes being unpaid for years.
