A movie that local MSM didn't promote but STILL earned a great deal of support from faith communities across the Midwest. Take a look at the numbers despite the local media blackout:
'Unplanned' Box Office: Controversial Anti-Abortion Pic Surprises With Strong $6M Debut
Graced with a coveted A+ CinemaScore, the controversial anti-abortion drama Unplanned opened to a strong $6.1 million from 1,059 theaters at the U.S. box office despite a relatively modest footprint. The R-rated film - landing in fifth place - scored the second-biggest start ever for faith-based distributor Pure Flix behind God's Not Dead 2 ($7.6 million).
I saw the movie today. It is a must see. This movie was told by a doctor and women who assisted in abortions you can't argue with this movie its fact. Prepare yourself its graphic and it needs to be.
ReplyDeletePopcorn politics. Delicious but empty calories.
ReplyDeleteI gave passion of the christ a try too. It was more snuff film than anything. Walked out at 45 minutes. 931's desc means I won't watch this one either. I'm already decidedly anti abortion and don't have any underlying desire to see extreme depictions of violence to babies
ReplyDeleteI am glad my mom didnt abort me, or you. I will skip this movie graphic is not good for my sleep. It id odd that i cant break woodpecker eggs in a nest as they are protected to birth by law, but i can abort a human baby legally.
ReplyDelete^^^ Damn good point!
ReplyDeleteA propaganda film.
ReplyDeleteTony only allows one side to this debate.
Anti-Choice people think that they can stop abortion if they make it illegal. When has that worked on anything? There will be abortions. Period. The real question is how many women will die?
This is why women must run for political office, you can not trust men to do the right thing. To most men, you are objects only.
It is important to understand that a woman deciding to bear a child to term is not in any way controversial. Those of us who are pro-choice believe is important for a woman to have that choice– And that her choice be free of interference from legislative bodies and be safe for her.
