Kansas City New Airport 'Green' Hype Starts

Given that AOC proposes to shut down air travel and take away everybody's truck . . . Here's the Kansas City biz class touting a building THAT ISN'T EVEN 20% DESIGNED yet. Take a look:

Green-Building Pioneer Says Kansas City's New Airport Could Be 'First Carbon-Free Terminal'

Why aren't people more panicked about climate change? Bob Berkebile thinks it has something to do with the complicated nature of the threat. "We're talking about climate change, and specifically global warming, when it's frozen outside today," Berkebile says, citing the infamous and incorrect claim that winter weather is evidence against climate change.

LOL that's a good line I'll have to remember that one next time I'm fighting traffic in midtown or waiting while demo crews hall off a blocks worth of perfectly fine old growth trees that where chainsawed down for sidewalks.

  8. So Greenland ice cores show that, long before there were internal combustion engines or evil Republican capitalist agents of the patriarchy, climate fluctuations of up to 22 degrees Fahrenheit took place in as little as 50 years. But we're told that a couple of degrees over the course of a century is reason to go 100% Chicken Little, and that we have all sinned and fallen short of the glory of Ocasio-Cortez. Strange, eh?

    No Berkebile didn't move.
He's lived in Mission Hills for quite a long time.
Like most of the other big-time players with lots of big EXPENSIVE and mostly totally impractical ideas for KCMO taxpayers to fund.
And most of the Star editorial board who supports such superficial unnecessary nonsense as "progress and momentum".
But climbing aboard the "New Greed Deal" bandwagon most likely isn't the best idea if you want much cooperation from the feds.
DC is still run by Republicans.

  10. I would be more interested in what this developer had to say if Kansas City wasn't constantly a place for pollution and public trash throw away. They aren't even doing bulky item pickup until later in the year. You can't promise a clean airport if the rest of the city looks like a dump.

Shhhhhh....@2:30 and @4:11, Occasional-Cortex and her cone-headed goofs want you to keep that to yourselves. Those wackadoodles want the "sky is falling" narrative to flourish. They claim we're all not worthy of any autonomy whatsoever in our foods and fuels consumption. The GND nutjobs know best, and want us to abide by their Mother Earth saving mandates. Yeah, just listen to these "jeenyus" gubmint overlords.

  12. 4:47, within the past decade anyway he has lived in midtown KCMO, not Mission Hills.
