Kansas City Nelson-Atkins Artsy Exhibit Gets Its Rocks Off By Blocking Urban Core Traffic To Protest Prez Trumps Border Wall

Local protest on the topic of walls is paid for by Kansas City taxpayers for the sake "progressive" artsy jargon making milquetoast point about "the nature of walls" in order to avoid a shutdown . . . Public radio is doing it's part to promote the display using carefully selected language. Take a look:

The Nelson's New Sculpture Will Make You See All Of Kansas City's Rock Walls Differently

In early March, a new wall started snaking its way through the grass just east of the Bloch Building at The Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art. British artist Andy Goldsworthy's "Walking Wall" begins with this section. In a few weeks, it will start to move across Rockhill Road, forcing the street to be closed from May 12 to June 3.

  1. The Democrats wanted a wall too. Memories are short when your drugged out liberal.

  2. Are tax funds being used for this in anyway? If so someone should sue.

  3. It's quite beautiful. Seriously.

  4. Liberals also forgot Barry built almost 700 miles of the wall, my idiot snowflake co-worker started crying when he found out, being a typical fake news moron didn’t prepare him for the truth! Hahahahaha!

  5. Some call it art but really it is just plain faggotry.

  7. Amen to 6:58 Liberals are the biggest Hippocrates. They want open boarders for people to come in and not respect our laws, but then bitch about it later when their jobs are given to illegals for less wages. The funny part is, they are crying for higher minimum wage but want to give their jobs to someone who isn't a legal citizen. Maybe the person who is spray painting a penis on the potholes can spray paint one on this wall. I wonder if it's even legal to block a city street for a protest.

  8. Pack the wall up and ship it to the southern border, reinstall it and make it much taller.

  9. First, you Trumptard idiots, the LAST THREE Presidents have all built fencing along the Mexican Border, not WALLS! They just didn't piss away the amounts of money that your Tin God wants to!

Secondly, Trump himself has abandoned the crackpot "Wall" idea!
The ($24.6 Million per mile,$1.4 BILLION for 57 miles) that he has ordered to be built using taken away from Military Families is exactly like the 647 miles of FENCE that already exist! The four pitiful 50 foot long "demonstration" examples of the Wall (built for $374 Million) have all been demolished.

Third, your "Beloved Leader" has never announced how much more FENCING he wants to build, only that he wants $BILLIONS more to spend.

Finally, during the 2016 campaign, the Whoremonger of the White House said the WALL he would build would be 30 feet high and 2,000 miles long, would cost "$12-$16 MILLION to build", and Mexico would pay for 100% of it!

Try getting your facts straight before you spew out your pitiful little attempts to justify his complete failure.

  10. Surely this "Artist", the Nelson and the City will all support my "Performance Art Conception", which consists of engaging hundreds of volunteers to load the stones placed in Rockhill Road into their Pickup Trucks, haul the Downtown, and align them neatly along the Streetcar Tracks.

After all, why is my "artistic perception" any less valid than this guy's ?

  11. Get a grip.

    1) Some old English dude's not going to give a shit about Trump's wall. He's done this for thirty years in England and I don't think he was making a point about Trump in the Eighties.

    2) It's not like he's blocking Paseo or Broadway. The only people who will care about this are the five commuters who use that street every day as a cut-through from UMKC to Gillham. My commute's three minutes longer now. Fucking whatever.

Only people who'll really notice are people who are going to the Nelson ANYWAY, and I'm betting they'll like that sort of thing.

tl; dr: An old English guy building a farm wall across a street that nobody drives isn't a big deal. Nut up, you fucking babies.

“If there were no evidence of conspiracy, and no evidence of obstruction, the attorney general would have told us so. He didn’t, so there is something in there that the Democrats and opponents of the president want to see. They will see it, and they will make hay out of it.” - Fox News Legal Analyst.

  15. The irony is Wm Rockhill Nelson was a big proponent of civic projects such as good roads and bridges, such as his namesake road (which he built with his own money), which these nitwits are pointlessly blocking. Many levels of irony here.

I just think art should be beautiful, or functional at least, and this seems more like a stunt. I guess that makes me a philistine, but I'm pretty sure Mr Nelson of blessed memory agrees with me and would hate his museum and road being mis-used in this manner.

    Thanks,
    Radish

Yeah, look at all the whiteys "getting some muscle over there" for stacking tons of rock for over a month!

Hey, maybe this will inspire all those kiddies and their communities to volunteer at repairing the Satchel Paige ballpark they enjoy using.
