  4. I know exactly where that is when I used to go to the KCMO VA hospital. The area around it is so bad. Lots of run down and abandoned houses. Trash EVERYWHERE.

  5. ^^^ did you find another VA hospital? I still have to go to the Linwood one in that sh*thole area.

  9. I hope voters will keep this kind of thing in mind when electing a new mayor. A vote for any current member of the council is a vote for continuing KC’s spiral down the drain. Whether you’re liberal or conservative, everyone knows what element of KC society commits the vast majority of these violent crimes, and as long as they have someone turning a blind eye to their nonsense (i.e. Sly and his council), it will only get worse.

  10. Hey Lucas. Why are you taking about Racial Justice without addressing the single most significant issue in KCMO today?
We are on track to exceed 200 murders in the urban core this year and less than half of these murderers are caught and convicted.

  11. Mr. Lucas, Sly and your council members watched the murder rates in the urban core sky rocket over the past 8 years, but did nothing to address this issue. Police on the street are significantly less than a few years ago...
A vote for you or current council members is a vote for continued failure.

    1. You're right, 1:32. Makes me think about the 17yo high school kid in Overland Park who had his own apartment with his girlfriend and wound up dead. All the media wanted to focus on was his hysterical mother.

All we hear about is how well they were liked or how they were trying to turn their life around.

And the GoFundMe page, of course.
