Kansas City Council Dude Scott Wagner Snow Job RoboCall: Is It Sleazy?!?!

For the dwindling number of people who still answer their phone . . .

In the robocall, Wagner first identifies himself as a member of the City Council and a candidate for mayor.

Then he says he wants to make sure that neighborhoods are safe after the last snow.

“If we have not come through enough, and there is still ice and snow on your street, I hope you’ll let us know,” he says. “If you can, press ‘1’ now to let us know if your street or neighborhood still needs some assistance.

“And let us know where, and whether or not you would like for us to call you back, to make sure that we’ve gotten the message.”

The TLDR message:

Now we ask . . .

IS THIS ROBOCALL SLEAZY OR WORTHWHILE COMMUNICATION WITH A COUNCIL DUDE WHO WANTS TO LISTEN?!?!

You decide . . .

Comments

  1. At least you can reject the call. Better than Jolie's texts that I never signed up for.

  2. Doesn't seem too sleazy. I mean, if pressing 1 actually allows you to address your concern and have it listened to it's all right by me. It's far less shady than forcing taxpayers to pay $90 million for a shitty airport no one wants

  3. Wagner pandering for votes and making it look like he cares.

Uh, kinda sleazy. Unless, he offered this level of concern to his district PRIOR to his run for Mayor. That's what I thought.

  5. 10:51 is correct. Too little, too late. Such an obvious ploy. Now if hyou wish to ask about the airport, or toy train, or 18th & Vine, or MLK change, or any other KC Council rip off, then your bs robo calls might be just a little valid.

  6. Where do I get my Clay Chastain's, or any other white taxpayer candidate's yard sign?

  8. 10:51 & 10:57, you talk about what you don't know. This guys is THE most approachable on the Council and has been involved in every single district of this City. Sure he's in politics but what he walks his talk
