The city teamed up with to use sensors to measure water depth and flow in the sewer systems. The sensors will use artificial intelligence to learn how the sewer infrastructure can hold excess rain water and keep it from overflowing and basement backups.

Student injured by javelin at Shawnee Mission Northwest High School
SHAWNEE, KS (KCTV) -- A student was injured by a javelin Tuesday afternoon at Shawnee Mission Northwest High School. An ambulance was ordered about 4:20 p.m. to the school located on West 67th Street and Long Avenue. The student was taken to an area hospital and is expected to survive.

If the sewer system is a smart system then there should be no flooding in KCMO. Obviously that is not the case. Billions of dollars will be spent on another failure.
