When half of your city in uninhabitable because of crime it reduces housing supply considerably. But don't expect city leaders to understand economics.
ReplyDeleteAll that money wasted on the streetcar would have bought a lot of affordable housing. But that would not have put money into the pockets of the movers and shakers, so it was a non-starter.
