Riverfront Homeless Camps in Harms Way
Michael Bushnell Northeast News KANSAS CITY - Rising waters are threatening those with the least, the most. As the Missouri River continues to rise, residents living near the river are watching and hoping. Hoping flood predictions fall short of expectations given that literally, everything they own is at stake.
They have internet right?

ReplyDeleteMost of them have empty gallon jugs which will serve nicely as improvised water wings. Now if the National Guard will just airdrop a ton or two of Tide, all will be well.

Drove down 3rd St East from Caddyshack to Knuckleheads a couple of weeks ago. Where 3rd turns into NE Industrial Trafficway and before you get to Guinotte, there is a big homeless camp on the south side of the road. With the leaves off of the trees you can easily see it.
ReplyDeleteKansas City has $10MM for the Jazz District (without a referendum), so why not spend a few bucks to help these poor people out? where is your compassion, Kansas City? Aren't these folks human beings?
