What to know about Sly James' pre-K proposal before you vote | The Kansas City Star
Gwendolyn Grant could barely stay in her seat as she talked about the reasons she's leading a campaign against Kansas City's proposed sales tax for universal pre-K. "It's not universal," said Grant, president and CEO of the Urban League of Greater Kansas City, pushing away from the boardroom table and throwing both hands in the air.
Bottom line is it would help white people and she doesn’t like that, just like Adams who opposes it for the same reasons. It’s still a bad idea no matter what but racism is the main factor here. Black on white racism that is.
ReplyDeleteSly couldn’t care less about pre-K. This is just another chance to lie and steal, the two things Sly does like to do.
ReplyDeleteIn Kansas City, even post-womb education wouldn’t help. Most of them are going to be illiterate anyway when they graduate from their shithole KCPS schools.
ReplyDeleteThe problem is, as others have noted, is only 20 to 25% will be going to the schools for the first 3 years with no guarantee of anything after that. The remaining 75 to 80% is unaccounted for and nobody knows what Slie has it slated for. Best guess is that after 3 years the schools will receive none of the money as all of it will be used to fill budget holes or giveaways.
ReplyDeleteThe other problem is, Pre-K confers no benefits that last. Similarly situated kids who had Pre-K and didn't have Pre-K show no difference past the third or fourth grade. Like Head Start, the Pre-K program would consume valuable resources, bring little to no benefit and be immortal.
ReplyDeleteThe Star has become Sly James's bitch.
^^as you have become everybody's bitch. Bitch.
ReplyDelete...and yet 8:09 hasn't. Weird.
DeleteSlush Fund Sly and his slaves at the Star, working around the clock to choke out one. More. Grift.
ReplyDeleteThe STAR ceased to be relevant years ago pretty much right after the employees sold it.
ReplyDelete..and yet you still talk about it. Weird.
ReplyDelete..and yet you suck dick. Weird.

DeleteSly has been real good about pushing things on to people they don't want.
ReplyDelete^^Yep. So what???
ReplyDelete^^dude, that didn't even make sense! if you're going to copy someone else's work dummy, at least use it properly! Weak stupid dave...real weak. You played yourself son.
ReplyDelete...and yet you're weird. Real. Weird
Delete11:37 if what people say is more than your feeble brain can handle maybe you need to stick with things like reading Dr Seuss books.
ReplyDeleteSly is a dishonest con artist and the sooner he gets out the better.
ReplyDeleteToo obvious that 'Magic BowTie' is fronting his pyramid scheme as a Pre-K program. How doofus is anyone that approves of a plan for ONLY 25% funds going to "classrooms and faculty", with the remaining THREE TIMES THAT AMOUNT going directly to the "board and buddies"? And, that's the hocus-pocus plan for the first couple years, with designs of even LESS going to the classrooms thereafter.
ReplyDeleteTax payer funded daycare for welfare queens is all this is.
