Middle-class slap fight over TV values indulges in political fantasy whilst ignoring a great deal of racial and economic disparity that their parish upholds as well . . . Check the quick and dirty round-up:
Policy bans students of same-sex parents
Policy bans students of same-sex parents
Hey now, parishioners pay the bills. They should run it as they see fit.
ReplyDeleteOr maybe they can start their own godless church.
DeleteSo they have a petition in behalf of some queers who remain anonymous? Fuck that petition, it’s as bogus as their marriage.
ReplyDeleteSeems to me like they should find a church that is in line with their morals rather than trying to force their views on everyone else.
ReplyDelete^^^ St. Ann's is on dangerous ground and they know it. They can talk about the right to the freedom of religion but from the streets in front of their church to the water pipes that serve it, they are a beneficiary of public benefit AND they are also exempt from taxes. The stupidest thing they could have done was put their rejection in writing.
Delete^^^ +100
DeleteDemocratic Party will be the only religion allowed in the future.
ReplyDelete^^^ Quiet gramps.
ReplyDeleteWell, at least it's nice to know that these Catholics who signed the petitions aren't learning much about the dogma or tenants of their own faith. Seems like a lot of money wasted.
ReplyDeleteCatholic school is just a scam perpetrated on dumb parents who choose the risk of molestation over the risk of their students getting stabbed at school.
ReplyDeleteAmericans worship politics not God.
ReplyDeleteHere's what I don't get: Why would you subject your kid to the kind of mercilessness mocking and hardship from this school that doesn't even want them? Seems like questionable parenting at the least.
ReplyDeleteSaw this in another thread and really thought it hit home:
ReplyDeleteI'm sure these parents knew that the Catholic Church opposes gay marriage, so this seems a bit like the religious version of race baiting. They knew that even if he was accepted into the school they'd be attending parent teacher conferences and sporting events and plays with teachers and other parents who have conservative views on gay marriage. I don't know if the parents maybe hoped to change some hearts and minds or if they just wanted to push boundaries a bit and get people talking, but surely they knew there would eventually be some kind of conflict with the church.
This is correct. Let them all join a gay church line the Episcopal, The UCC and some Lutheran sects
Delete^^^ Excellent comment.
ReplyDeleteFor the love of God, keep all the sausage away from the priests. PLEASE!
ReplyDeleteI think they knew almost everyone is morally opposed to two faggots marrying each other.
ReplyDelete^^^^ But we love your mama and all the multiple poles she smokes. I'm sure in her day she has kissed a clam or two. Don't be so judgemental. It's not very Christian!
ReplyDelete^^^^^^^^ Stupid.
ReplyDeleteIf somebody wanted to make a pile of money, they would come up with good schools that safe at a somewhat affordable price and taught decent values WITHOUT all of that religious mumbo jumbo.
ReplyDeleteReally unfair for the media to hide their name on this story. Kind of a slap in the face to those of use who DID NOT sign the petition but are made to look like haters.
ReplyDeleteCatholic Church is against homosexuality?
ReplyDeleteGreat!
They should start by a closer examination of their priests.
8:48 Public school is just a scam perpetrated on dumb parents who choose the risk of molestation and the risk of their kids getting stabbed or shot at school.
ReplyDelete^^^ Ewwwww!
DeleteWhat a horrible way to start Lent for these so called Catholics. Most of the parish sees how this has been spun by the media. Almost all of the signtitures come from people who are technically "inside" the Parish but do not go to Church, the rest follow the same pattern. Most parents agree that the Church is just maintaining the rules that apply to everyone else who agrees to be a part of this faith community. Sad to see so many anti-catholics taking out their revenage on people who care about improving this city over all.
ReplyDelete- HGH
8:52 says it all plain as day.
ReplyDeleteHow can any church go against the word of which the church was built upon?
Gay people need to go start their own church and can preach whatever they want.
Why is a Catholic School punishing children?
ReplyDeleteBecause their parents are gay?
If you think being gay is somehow wrong, then shouldn't these be the very children that you want to help? What did these children do? Why are they being punished?
The primary mission of American Christianity used to be apologizing for slavery, then Jim Crow. They founded Christian Schools, so their children wouldn't have to go to school with black children.
Now, it's hating/shunning gay people.
Why? Is that all you've got?
^^^^ Byron you don't know what you're talking about as usual. The Catholic School didn't seek out the students, the parents put them in the middle of a controversy because of their politics. It is the parents who have shown great neglect here.
ReplyDeleteI went to St Ann’s 50 years ago, and we had lots of queers in school.
ReplyDeleteByron shut up before Chet reappears and slaps the crap out of you again.
ReplyDeleteCatholic school is overrated. All it is is just a bunch of wannabes pretending that they have money and enjoying a little cotillion financed by suckers in the parish. Just a fancy little Promenade. Do your kids a favor and homeschool
ReplyDeleteSeems to be that the media and some of the parents are uncomfortable with the free exercise of religion. If you don't like it, then don't patronize the instutiution. But forcing your beliefs on them is UnAmerican.
ReplyDeleteWhat is really bad is all of the anti-catholic comments that keep coming up on social media because of this. It's not really about the policy or the parents, a lot of people are just looking for a way to bash the church.
ReplyDeleteThis is a demonic assault upon Archbishop Naumann for his recent statements about pro-abortion Catholic politicians.
ReplyDeleteIt has nothing to do with this child.
The lesbian "parents" cannot resist the publicity value. They will be all over the media within 48 hours.
Homos: Always the victims.
Church shoulda just called or taken a private meeting and said something to the effect of, "Sorry, pass."
ReplyDeleteWell at least than the priest will not be breaking city ordnances.
ReplyDeleteThe Catholic church is the biggest pedophile ring in the world. It's really rich hearing them come out against same-sex parents. Really rich.
ReplyDelete^^^ you’re an idiot
ReplyDelete^^...and you were likely diddled by a priest or willfully ignorant. Which is it?
ReplyDelete^^^^^Could be both. They're not mutually exclusive.
ReplyDeleteIf the "couple" practiced discretion they could enroll their child as a single parent. This look at me I am a fag stuff is getting old. Keep it in your pants and the rest of us do not care.
ReplyDelete^^and yet you do because here you are commenting about it. Nice try Nancy. Maybe you'll come out this year. You seem the type.
ReplyDelete^^^^ Does immature peanut gallery f___ ever sleep or go to work ? KCMO needs pot hole fillers, could you qualify ? Maybe your mommy will give you a reference.
ReplyDeleteI support the Church and school in this decision. Not only is it wrong to be a homosexual we are all really tired of the push this minority has made to paint it as "acceptable". The church laws are valid. The parents/couple do not have a marriage as defined by the catholic church, not just in Fairy Village. As such they have the right to say that it is against their rules to have a gay couple enroll their child in the school, period. Actually it would have to be an adopted child as they physically can not really be mom and dad, dad and dad, mom and mom. This church has been the most vilified by the gay community for a long time, not going to change, like the Methodists will, to allow this.
ReplyDeleteI also quit using Cottonel toilet paper because of the ad they run on TV. I also avoid any product that has a gay couple in their ad when possible I personally am sick of having these queers try to make me accept their lifestyle, not going to change either.
^^Good for you Nancy. Nobody gives a fuck what you think or what you do. Maybe if you had any friends, you could tell them this horseshit, instead you're boring the fuck out of the rest of us! I'd tell you to go away, but you don't have anything better to do then to virtue signal your "Christianity" to anyone who will listen. LOSER!
ReplyDeleteThe parents should stay low key so the kid isn't teased as "The Fags Kid" when he gets a little older. Kids are extremely cruel. Stay in the closet for the sake of the children.
ReplyDelete^^^Speaking from experience Neil or is it Bob?
ReplyDeleteThe gays will win out with legislation prohibiting charitable tax deductions to churches that don't "identify" as pro-gay, and prohibiting payments for choice schools that aren't pro-gay. Give it 3 years to happen.
ReplyDeleteHey @ 10:55 I tried several times to read your comment but all I could get my mind to see was blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah so I quit trying because you shit is just impossible to even read.
