Classic Kansas City Italian Cuisine Comeback

I know, I know . . . Anthony's, Garozzo's or Cascone's is the real deal and this is just a hipster facsimile. HOWEVER, this place represents a "philosophical" return to comfort food and the local culinary class realizing that weirdo fusion creations are novelty and KCMO denizens actually prefer real food. Possibly a place to put on the list this year . . . Take a look:

Ragazza is Back, Serving Italian Comforts and Wine in a Brand-New Kansas City Location

In just five years in business, Laura Norris' Cucina della Ragazza became a Westport institution. The (very) cozy dining room was always more full of regulars than newcomers, and it wasn't unusual to see someone enter the building and then proceed to hug several diners enjoying their meals, like family.

  3. So loud it was painful. Setting sun is blinding thru the uncovered upper windows. Both of which ruined the dining experience. Give them a month or two to fix these issues, then go.

  5. Plentiful perks purloined for pandering to their political "pork" pals!3/22/19, 2:52 PM

^Stupid and Snark are tag-teaming here from shitty hall, instead of focusing on their actual jobs. Oh, they love the place, because they get their meals there, and plenty of eats elsewhere, at very low cost...plus tips. That's why one very big Snark hasn't taken off any weight, and the younger porky, Stupid, has noticably expanded his breadbasket, also.
