BLOODY SUNDAY!!! KANSAS CITY 2019 HOMICIDE COUNT SPIKES TO 31 AMID DEADLY ST. PADDY'S WEEKEND!!!
Today, whilst political hopefuls marched in the parade and waved at crowds. The quotient local murder continues to rise.

Credit to some of the denizens of the comments called this one yesterday.
And so . . .
Despite a tough winter when most local biz and schools had trouble just staying open. This is the 31st homicide so far this year compared to 27 at this time last year and 24 in 2017 when the homicide rate reached a nearly historic high unseen since the early 90s.
For context, let's also not forget that the U.S. Attorney said the Kansas City has a higher murder rate than Chicago and less than 6 months ago a non-profit group reported that Kansas City ranked fifth among U.S. cities in murder per capita.
And just so readers don't mistakenly think that the violence and danger to is only in the hood. Here's a note about a cop dragged today in one of the most upscale parts of town:

And so, as local partying and good times wraps up this evening . . . The postscript from the weekend is that murder and rising violence has now become a seemingly permanent aspect of Kansas City culture.
