KANSAS CITY, MO (KCTV) -- Thousands of basketball fans will pack downtown Kansas City this week for the Big 12 Conference men's basketball tournament. Fan fests and other championship activities will close the following streets surrounding the Sprint Center: Grand Boulevard (between 13th St. and Truman Rd.): closed starting at 10 a.m.

A major road project at I-435, I-70 interchange, causing delays

Kansas City, MO - A major road project is underway for the I-435 and I-70 interchange near the Truman Sports Complex. MoDOT says the project will cause closures and detours for almost two years. The eastbound I-70 ramp to northbound I-435 and the eastbound I-70 ramp to Manchester Trafficway is expected to be closed through December of this year.
