What Is Kansas City Affordable Housing?!?!

The real estate selling season is almost underway and we're seeing sky high prices along with a buyer's market that's still flooded with both speculators and irrationally exuberant developers . . . In these last, few glorious days before a correction The City Council weighs in on the cost of living powered by social justice warrior concerns and candidate best efforts to distract from so many corporate giveaways over the past 4 years.

Housing Committee discusses affordable housing needs

Ordinance #180721 created great debate among the City Council members at last week's housing meeting. The ordinance discusses at what percentage of income a family pays for rent is considered affordable, and how the percentage should be determined, based on housing facilities that are asking for incentives to build.

  1. Affordable housing is defined as subsidized residences for the very poor that are not in the neighborhoods of any of the council members.

  11. Love seeing the city council argue about intangibles when they don't even understand basic economics. Must have been an error because this is and has been a seller's market for the last few years
