TKC EXCLUSIVE!!! CITY HALL DEMANDS KANSAS CITY SILENCE ON $90-MILLION EMERGENCY SHORT TERM LOAN FOR NEW SINGLE-TERMINAL AIRPORT AS PROMISED LEASE AGREEMENT DEADLINE BROKEN!!!

An important recap about an EPIC payout coming soon and hopefully under the radar of most voters . . .

"A financial discussion regarding the user agreement and the new term sheet for the Airport project gets pushed off . . . Meanwhile, the Airport committee endorses (5-1) an ordinance that obligates the City to come up with $90-million. It would seem to me that the order should be in reverse."

Even better . . .

Here's the punch line . . .

Supporters of this rushed cash argue that the airlines have agreed to pay KCMO back. BUT neither the user agreement nor the term sheet have been signed by a majority of airlines. City Hall promised the agreements would be delivered on the 25th but that deadline passed and there are only a minority of airlines that have agreed to sign on the pricey terms . . . So far BIG CARRIER bullying FAILED to inspire fear in other other airlines. Local newsies other than the newspaper asking for info have been threatened with limited access for any non-official update that doesn't include presser comment from City Hall.

Remember . . .

From The Associated Press: "Aviation Director Pat Klein said he expected six of the eight airlines that serve KCI to sign the agreement by Feb. 25."

To wit . . .

TKC EXCLUSIVE TOLD YOU SO!!! IT'S THE 26TH AND KANSAS CITY DOESN'T HAVE THE AIRLINE SIGNATURES BUT RUSHES TO GIVE AWAY 90-MILLION BUCKS!!!

And so . . .

NEWSIES WHO WANTED TO REPORT THIS FACT HAVE BEEN THREATENED TO HAVE THEIR MEDIA ACCESS REVOKED!!!

Because TKC breaks news and wind in the general direction of City Hall approved access . . . We offer this report FIRST because no other local outlet can.

Developing . . .

He told me that was a lie, you can go sideways!

Voters were assured before they approved the terminal plan in November 2017 that the airlines would be on the hook for the project.

  16. What bothers me about this deal the most not the backroom deals. but the bully tactics of the mayor Sly James and how he bullies people using third world tactics thinking that he's a dictator a Kansas City the only place live James should really go is a federal prison and an orange jumpsuit...

Steve Kraske: Mayor Sly James has KC feeling good about itself again

"Voters said loud and clear that they trust their mayor with their money. His mug was plastered all over almost every piece of campaign literature. From the start, this proposal was going to rise or fall on James’ shoulders.

Make that King James’ shoulders. The mayor now has a certified achievement to throw in his legacy column. Other wins that came on his watch, such as streetcars and Google Fiber, were projects that others initiated.

    We live in exciting times.

We have King James to thank for the added momentum"

Don't you think the KCI terminal should be stopped? Your Democrat party's Alexandria Ocasio Cortez wants to eliminate airplane flight and cow farts, so why spend the money on a new terminal?

  27. When it's actually difficult to try to separate the incompetence from the corruption, you know you have a real problem.
Nothing that some new blood from an election won't fix, though.
Oh, same old names and modus operandi?

  30. There are now a myriad of politicians we can quote their lies, S'liar James, Jolie Justus, Kansas City Councils, Kansas City City Managers, Kansas City City spokespersons, Kansas City Star, Barack Obama, Bernie Sanders, Elizabeth Warren, Diane Feinstein, Chuck Schumer, Joe Biden, Donald Trump, George Washington, Harry Truman, John Kennedy, Richard Nixon, Bill and Hillary Clinton, George Bush, Martin Luther King Jr, Daryl Forte, Frank White and on and on and on. Party affiliation doesn't matter.
The problem is that you don't trust someone with the purse strings when they have no concept of how much money a million dollars really is.
