Actually, our blog community has been blocked at the airport for years.
TKC was blocked at 12th & Oak for quite some time but, thankfully, City Hall IT received so many complaints that they had to reverse course.
Now, given that our blog community is the leading voice myth-busting the NEW KCI hype, more than a few of our readers have noticed the airport WIFI block in full effect.
To wit . . .
ONE AGAIN WE OBJECT TO THE SILLY KCI CENSORSHIP AND WE ARGUE THE TKC WIFI BLOCK IS POLITICALLY MOTIVATED!!!
To be fair, here's what the airport has to say about the topic and a glimpse at the block recently brought to our attention again:
Apparently, bikini and lingerie reporting is our sin despite the fact we remain committed to this real life journalism on the rise of hottie influence in American culture, lingerie & bikini power moves and the various challenges confronting fashionistas like Bar Refaeli.
Also, let's not forget that airport news stands sell soft pr0n so their complaints about our hottie journalism seem misguided.
Nevertheless, we persist.
Honestly, public wifi is a sketchy proposition and we don't encourage its use for any of our smarter readers who aren't already working with a VPN.
In the final analysis . . .
We remind our KICK-ASS TKC BLOG COMMUNITY that the KCI block is a badge of honor given that nobody else in Kansas City is writing, sharing and publishing stuff that really pushes back against City Hall, airport officials and the status quo in a manner that's also light, breezy and fun to read.
And all of this inspires our airport inspired playlist . . .
As always, thanks for reading and have a safe and fun Saturday night.
No objections allowed, just hand over the money.
ReplyDeleteNot really a big loss, T. Airport wifi is slow as molasses and I agree that if you're going to use it that a VPN is a necessity unless you want to share all of your contacts with Mayor Sly James.
DeleteHow dumb.
DeleteKCMO is actually doing you a favor. They look like they can't handle criticism and automatically make people more interested when they do stuff like this. Very silly.
Kansas City has always been Kickback City this airport scam is no different.
ReplyDelete^^^^ AI think it's getting worse.

ReplyDeleteJolie Justus' new campaign picture.
(Hey, it's a realistic as anything else connected with this mess!)
Make you want to vote for her?
Even if she does like cat meat?
remember...
Jolie waddles, Jolie whines!
Actually promotes misplaced hatred against City Hall, airport officials and the status quo in a manner that's also sexist, cliche-ridden, tired, racist, and full of scared geezers.
ReplyDeleteActually, the hatred toward city hall is very appropriately placed. Sorry your too stupid to realize it Jessica.
DeleteDo they block Sport Illustrated online?
ReplyDeleteCause bikinis and boobs and cameltoes!
Airport is sin against man and nature.
ReplyDeleteCalm down there sparky!
DeleteWhassamatterwityu?
ReplyDeleteYour airport inspired playlist is incomplete without this one fer sher!
Arlo Guthrie - Coming Into Los Angeles
You all know damn well why TKC is blocked at KCI. It actually will help in my opinion. They will Google the KCI airport and see a headline about the fiasco. They will see its blocked for a fishy reason and look it up on their cell phone for the truth.
ReplyDeleteGod Bless TKC!!!
ReplyDeleteGod Bless, FREE SPEECH!!!!
No joke actually, God bless America an God Bless the 1st Amendment that Democrats and Progressives want to contain as they acquire ever more power.
I do not read blog for the lingerie ads that are for mem, if anything, yes they will make me stop reading the blog. So will all the good commenters that are rewarded for all the right things .
ReplyDeleteThe Peanut Gallery... aka The Star- would do well to publicize this.. but here’s betting they won’t.
ReplyDeleteThis is a huge plus as we can see City Hall fighting for legitimacy and going down like a broken water pipe.
How does a broken pipe or two keep a big city building closed for days or weeks? It doesn’t. Management does.
The time has come to use eminent domain and reloaded the ugly green glass building overlooking downtown and move city hall.
That would also help get the star to 2020 faster and not embarrass themselves with $1,000 subscriptions to old ladies.
Who uses public wifi? why don't just you just write an invitation to hackers.
ReplyDeleteSurely KCMO isn't using their provided public WiFi in nefarious ways like spying and data collection of users.
ReplyDelete6:19, the Star doesn't see anything wrong with blocking opposing opinions. The Star does a lot of that itself.
